Chell+Wheatley 'The Stars Gone Dim by JasmineAlexandra Chell+Wheatley 'The Stars Gone Dim by JasmineAlexandra
I drew this with while listening to "Battle: Los Angeles" Soundtrack's "The Sun's Gone Dim" by Johann Johannsson. [link]

I ever thought that if there were a sad song that the robot's of Aperture might play, then that might be it.
I can imagine Wheatley walking by the turrets as they play the song...
Now I drew this with a couple of perspectives in mind...
Is Wheatley the villain? The tragic hero? Is this revenge or redemption? Is he saving her? Is she still alive? Is he rescuing her? Is he capturing her? Is he laying her to rest?

But the question I wanted to ask is....

"Oh...Wheatley what did you do?"

I do not own Portal or any of the characters. I am just an insignificant insect that is just a fan. All characters belong to ŠValve Corporation

I do rather like your vision and intention as to what you were trying to accomplish and I must say, your execution in regards to questioning the image is quite spot on. When I see Chell's bandaged lower-arm, I see an "eyeperture" (aperture eye) toward her wrist, implying that either Wheatley used one of his "eyepertures" from his body to try to keep her alive, or it turns out that Chell was a creation from Aperture Science. I rather like that little detail. As for two other choices, it needed more work. I listened to "The Sun's Gone Dim" and felt no impact. I tried "Exile Vilify", same conclusion. I tried many sad techno/electronic music, but they were too upbeat for this situation. The music needed for this piece requires instruments mixed with techno, but knows exactly when to be subtle. Aside from that, I don't like the design that you gave Wheatley: his structure does not make him look as trustworthy as P-Body or Atlas, his upper-torso gives the intention that he has muscles, when his lower torso is covered he looks"bulky" is the better word to describe it; & his overall design looks way too complicated (again) in contrast to Atlas, P-body, or even the turrets. To be fair, though, GLaDOS' design is even more complicated than Wheatley's. However, her design contains a unique type of simplicity. Plus, if she is more complicated in design, then why didn't the scientists of Aperture Science create an anthropomorphic body similar to Wheatley's? But I digress... If there are two things that I like about his design, they would have to be his facial expression and his arm; his arm looks like it was made from a turret. Because it has an eyeperture, it would explain his motive (if he had one to begin with, of course). But, again, I digress... Aside from Wheatley himself, the attention to detail is magnificent, creating even more questions than answering them. Well done on that. Finally, I must talk about originality; the Chelley ship has been done before, but to imply that Wheatley killed Chell is quite a refreshing change of pace. The only other time I have have seen a similar instance of this concept was from the "Making Science" music video. Overall, I give this picture a C-, 70%. If you want that A, than I suggest You-know-who's body changed to a more slim figure and (this is for my tastes, personally) finding the right song for this piece. But make no mistake, I do like this picture.
What do you think?

I just realized whats going on in your story. Wheatley was in love with Chell the moment they first met. When he came to wake her up, to the time he got corrupted, when he got banished into space, to this point here. I know Wheatley is the good guy in this picture because these two have been through so much in such a sort time. Thats why hes my favorite. Long live Wheatley. :,)

"I... I never wanted it to be this way!"

"What you want doesn't matter, Moron. It's what you do that matters... And what you did is THIS. Of course, you were made to get things wrong, weren't you? So, naturally, you killed your own saviour. Congratulations on that, by the way. You've done the one thing that I couldn't do."

"I... I want you to kill me now."

"No, Moron, that would be an act of mercy and Science isn't merciful. Besides... don't you think that I would want revenge for what you did to me... what you did to HER?"

I listened to the song and it went perfectly with the picture. I agree, if the turrets did have to play a sad song that would be it. Great picture of Wheatley and Chell. I think Wheatley's the good guy in this picture. It's something about his body posture that just says "I'm the good guy"

My opinion of what happened: Chell was wandering around the facility and stubbled on a room of dormant turrets, she carefully creeps across the floor, and trips a hidden switch. Wheatley, who had been walking nearby but was unaware of Chell's current position, he hears shooting and runs into the turrret room, chell has managed to take out the turrets but is severely injured, she reaches out to Wheatley and collapses. Wheatley thinks that she is dead (she's really only uncounsious[sp?]) and sorrowfully he carries her out of the room. (this picture) He brings her body upstairs to a medical wing and Chell is cleaned up by the robots. He still thinks she is dead and tells him how he feels, thinking she's dead anyway and she can't hear him. She comes concious but doesn't open her eyes and she hears his confession. When he finishes she says only two words, "Me too." considering this to be a miricle Wheatley embraces her and weeps (figurativly) happily.
Great now I need to turn this into a fanfiction XDDD and my hand hurts like crazy after the LAST 20 fanfictions I wrote. :icondoublefacepalmplz:
