Description

As you may have guessed, I am so enthusiastic about a new film from Paris by Europe Corp Entertainment & Bibo Bueargenson. It is called “Un Monster a Paris” & my favorite song as of yet is called “La Sine” whish is a river in France.
So while I was checking out Deviant Art I saw these artist enthusiastically draw wonder fan art of Lucille & Francoeur in their own duets… which if you ever saw the French musical number they do, they just are the cutest duet…
I was struck by the fan artist & their own little take of the film… my favorite so far is this new artist :iconbonka-chan: that I love to look up her art of Francoeur & Lucille, which I am so glad to find someone who is enthusiastic of the fan pairing as I am & another picture [link] that struck a match to my inspiration by :iconoowhiplashoo:.
She had drawn them running along in a live in Steam punk fashion with Francoeur being lead by Lucille by the hand. It was so cute I was inspired & thought a little story in my noodle.

Therefore, I pulled everything together in this picture. The steam punk fashion, which I hope I did justice & with the romance…

The scene here has Francoeur holding his dear little Lucille in his arms as they sink into La Sien. It is sad but tragedy is the spice of romance I say.

I imagine that Lucille is a steam punk go-getter. Fighting foes with her wits & ingenuity, right along with her team. Raoul, her trusty & comedic mechanical inventor, Emile, the film connoisseur & report operator & her most trusted beloved friend & confidant, the innocuous & musically talented Francoeur, which despite his odd looks (which she finds adorable) has helped her out of a few jams with his leaping ability & strength….also whom she is very protective of. Many evenings she & Francoeur would sing duets together. Unknown to most as an orphan, she had to use her song to comfort herself & get by until she was adopted by her aunt & uncle. Her family had her sing at their club, opening opportunities for her to being more then just a mere song bird, dreaming one day to fly from her cage & that she did.
She fiercely protects Francoeur from being exploited. However, to everyone’s surprise his voice had gotten them out of many jams.

At home, when Francoeur would be upset, she would sing with him to sooth him… then they would both sing in duets as they arranged flowers. Singing being their comfort & strengthen their connection. Though for Francoeur, unbeknownst to her, he meant every love song he sang to her…

In this tragic scene it seems that after an epic fight on the Eiffel Tower, she sacrificed herself saving France from a madman’s scheme… & fell into the flooded river, La Sien… which she sinks slowly into her depth… They all are unable to get to her except Francoeur …. He dives in without thought or care to himself… once he reaches to her, his heartbreaks when he realizes the sad truth. He brushes back her locks, he holds her tight against the cold water…
He stays with her, singing to her in the water…(hey if whales can do it, & this bug can sing & be a snappy dresser then yes, he can sing in the water!) …almost in a begging lullaby for her to sing back to him…one more song…. they sink into the depth of La Sien….the river that they used to sing to each other by…

Francoeur could not part with her to the cold depth…not his little his friend, his family, his confidant, his savior, his unrequited heart… his soul….

on some nights you could hear a melody by a duet from the mists of Paris… right when the crickets start to chirp & the nightingale starts to wobble from far off…

” Chante-moi... s'il vous plaît. {Sing to me …please}” He chirps then he starts to sing, “Ne me quitte pas”

This is the site of the melody I played, as I drew this.

It made me cry…just imagine him singing this to her this as they sink into La Sien… I know the period is wrong but the song is just so heart breaking & so good… It seemed perfect as a last lullaby…

If you listen to this French song…then you would tear up too…you have to hear it…

I do not own Francoeur & Lucille or any of the characters from Un Monster a Paris. I am just an insignificant insect that is just a fan. All characters belong to © Bibo Bergeron & EuropaCorp
