Gene+Kelley 'Let's Dance'

After a long, long hiatus, I did not come up with any ZAGR, since I have been a little busy with Vegas... and killed of WAY too much money on CRAP! Ugh! I hated it and LOVED it... the city of SIN seemed to suit me TOO well.
So about this drawing, I did this based on an art lesson by at [link] where she taught me how to draw and style in Lackadaisy style, Her sketches are very 20Th style, and fun, while i came up with this. i love it. so i drew this up and then i thought of something very retro, something pre-WWII or depression era like, something classy and musical.
So looking at this, i was watching "SINGING in the RAIN" and I thought about the names of the more famous musical stars, like GINGER ROGERS, FRED ASTAIR, and my favorite, GENE KELLEY. they all seem to have two names, one which is feminine and the other masculin.
So i drew this up with the name GENE KELLEY, and thought these make a cute couple, the (anthro-cat) guy's name is GENE' and the apple of his eye, (the harpian lady) KELLEY.

Here we see a scene where these two, are dancing, and there is this moment, where their dance takes a very tense moment. the lights are just right, and the song slows... he looks into her eyes, and they appear to soon, kiss...

I decided to have the colors match them together. She has the same color hair as his fur and matching eye color. I thought it would tie them in better.

I did this with pencil and paper, scanned it, then photo-shop the colors. I hope you like.
